I think they remind me stylistically more of Heartbreaker than anything else ever had. There is an acoustic guitar. harmonica. steel ( not graboff) some badass bass playing and g r o o v e s
but i dunno. i dunno if it’s sat long enough. thematically i would say they are about as honest and as real as I have been in a song in a long ass time. Also, so far, no matter if it is good or bad, there is joy. a little amazement. some disappointment ( imagine that ) but you know, i sleep now and i don’t smoke. so my lungs don’t hurt and it doesn’t have to be so fucking loud and there doesn’t have to be a ten minute jam every other thing.
just tunes. just raw. and i dunno.
but i like love songs.
